The attack resulted in the closure of at least 10 websites in Ukraine, including the websites of the ministries of defence, foreign and culture. Apart from this, the websites of the two largest public sector banks were also affected.

In this type of attack, a huge amount of 'junk data' is sent to the website, due to which the website does not open. "No other damage has been reported from this DDoS attack," said Viktor Zhora, Ukraine's senior cyber defense official.
